| Time and Speeds A Student rolled 3 balls the same distance across the floor to the wall. The table shows the speeds at which the balls were rolled. The golf ball reached the wall 1.8 seconds faster than the basketball and 0.36 seconds faster then the soccer ball. 1. Let t be the time it took the golf ball to roll to the wall. In the third column of the table, write expressions for the time it too each ball to roll to the wall. 2. Use the distance formula to write variable expressions for the distance traveled by each ball. Complete the fourth column of the table. 3. Write an equation relating the distances traved by any 2 of the balls. Solve the equation. Use the results to complete the last column of the table. Meine Ideen: Allgemeine Formeln Speed = Distance/Time Distance = Speed*Time Time = Distance/Speed Zur Aufgabe 1 1.1 Basketball t+1,8s=Distance(x)/3ft.s 1.2 Soccer Ball t+0,36s=Distance(x)/ 6ft.s 1.3 Golf Ball t=Distance(x)/Speed Zur Aufgabe 2 2.1 Basketball Distance(x)=3ft.s * x+1,8s 2.2 Soccer Ball Distance(x)=3ft.s * x+0,36s 2.3 Golf Ball Distance(x)=8ft.s * x Zur Aufgabe 3 3.1 Basketball 1,8s*3ft.s = 5,4ft 3.2 Soccer Ball 0,36s*6ft.s = 2,16ft Verstehe insgesamt nicht so ganz, was die genau wollen. Richtig. Und mehr sollst Du auch nicht in die dritte Spalte eintragen. t+1,8s für den Basketball usw.
Nicht ganz. Distance(x)=3ft.s * (t+1,8s) Und so weiter. Trag diese drei Terme in die vierte Spalte. Jetzt kannst Du durch Gleichsetzen t bestimmen und damit die fünfte Spalte ausfüllen. Viele Grüße Steffen |
